Field Inspired – The devils in the detail

Personally, I’ve been a fan of Fields’s work for some time, so much so that I currently have his Octopus hanging above my bed (which has had numerous compliments). Beautifully intricate yet still striking and bold, often through his intense use of colour and pattern. This has earned himself a healthy Instagram following of over 4000, eagerly awaiting his next piece.

Richard Field, London based artist, illustrator and graphic designer has always been fascinated and intrigued by the world around him and all its intricate details, often focusing on how nature can create incredibly detailed designs.

Using a mixture of digital and hand drawn work he creates illustrations, layer by layer. One of his most recent pieces, ‘The Golden Buddha’, inspired by his travels through Asia, stacks 220 individual layers on top of one another to create the intricate piece.
