A splash of sculpture

Here at VinylOctopus we showcase a wide range of art and talent and truly appreciate an individual’s skill and craft. However, it’s only today that I’m noticing we’ve never done a sculpture piece. Now, we can’t think of any reason why we haven’t before. However, if anything should break this president it’s the work of Annaluigia Boeretto.

Being based in Venice its clear to see where a lot of her inspiration appears, in terms of water. Her stunning sculptures replicate the overall movement of water, with many lending themselves to splashing liquids.

Some of her work is clearly recognisable as replicating forms within nature, such as flowering buds and other organic matter. However some of her pieces showcase her abstract skill in which she experiments with texture, shape and colour.

Her sculptures have a paradoxical feel, a blend between the tranquil and wild.
