Initially we were drawn to this work simply for its stunning beauty. At a glance, Felix Hernandez Rodriguez’s work can be described in one word; breathtaking! Effortlessly eye-catching, they often depict incredible scenes of action incorporating dramatic vast landscapes. However The true beauty of his work lies in the fact that they are far from this.
His photos are made up of small children’s toys photographed up close. In addition to this along with several photographic techniques he creates the illusion of grand and bold scenes.
By incorporating every day elements such as flour (for snow) and cigarette smoke (to create atmosphere) he creates his incredible work.
Rodriguez believes that photography l, for him is not what actual exists, but what exists to him.
