Personally, in our opinion, good light installations are few and far between. Often they focus on an in depth meaning which can sometimes lead the audience to feel almost entirely lost within the display. Subsequently, they rarely focus on the actual wonder that is light or what it may be illuminating. However, this is not the case of ‘Light Masonry’ by Jason Bruges (showcased as part of ‘Illuminating York 2016’). Bruges exhibition which he showcased at the incredible York minster is simple, yet effective. It beautifully highlights the incredible ancient architecture with dramatic, dazzling and stunning results.
We urge you, if there is one video you watch today let it be this one as we struggle to put into words its sheer beauty and magnitude of this.
