Things the eye can’t see

There’s something generically beautiful about flowers. Now we know it’s a cliché and art with flowers has been done a million times but bare with us in this one. (Or maybe it’s just because I love science that these are also so significant for me….but either way they’re beautiful).

California based photographer Craig Burrows simply photographs flowering plants. However, using UV light he manages to capture the beauty that the naked eye cannot.

Each image depicts a single plant, stunningly fluorescent, appearing to glow in a kaleidoscope of colours and textures, contrasted against a darker backgrounds to create stunning results.
